Fire extinguished in Vashlovani Protected Areas

The fire got extinguished in Vashlovani Protected Areas, the Agency of Protected Areas reports.


On June 30, a fire broke out on a large shadow ridge, presumably due to a thunderstorm.

 

Twenty-five Vashlovani Protected Areas Rangers, an Emergency Management Team, and a helicopter were mobilized to put out the fire.

 

In the Vashlovani Protected Areas, the fire burned several dozen juniper and sage trees on about 7 hectares.
