Eka Kherkheulidze: Saakashvili lost consciousness today, this should once again be a signal to everyone that this person does not have much time left, unless we take into account the objective state of his health

Just a few minutes before I entered, Mikheil Saakashvili lost consciousness. The situation of his health is difficult, National Movement MP Eka Kherkheulidze said after visiting Mikheil Saakashvili in VivaMedi clinic.

According to her, tomorrow morning the former president will undergo a diagnostic examination regarding what caused the loss of consciousness.

"Loss of consciousness is a very disturbing fact, which should once again be a signal to everyone that this person does not have much time left, unless we take into account the objective state of his health," said Sarkeulidze.

At the same time, she responded to the statement of the American diplomat, Michael McFaul, that "Saakashvili's death in prison will be Putin's victory and a big blow to Georgian democracy." As Kherkheulidze said, McFaul is a representative of the US President Joe Biden's administration relating to the sanctions against Russia.

"It doesn't matter how the representatives of Georgian Dream evaluate it. The public should be well aware that McFaul is the direct representative of the Biden administration regarding Russia-related sanctions. His statement emphatically says that Mikheil Saakashvili should be released immediately. The enemies of our country thought that the democratic world would abandon Mikheil Saakashvili. They probably saw yesterday's rally around the world - and saw today's statement of McFaul in Washington Post. There will be a continuous response by the democratic world. All well-wishers of our country should have this expectation", said Eka Kherkheulidze.

In addition, she noted that the Patriarch sent a letter to Mikheil Saakashvili, in which he congratulates him on Christmas and New Year. According to her, Mikheil Saakashvili sent a reply letter to the Patriarchate through his human rights defender Shalva Khachapuridze.
