VivaMedi director general says clinic will not recommend physical attendance of Mikheil Saakashvili at trial

05.01.23 16:30

According to Nino Nadiradze, director general of VivaMedi, the clinic does not recommend the physical attendance of the former president of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili, at the trial.

As Nino Nadiradze told InterPressNews, the clinic has never given a similar recommendation about any prisoner. According to her, while the patient is in the clinic, they take responsibility for him within the clinic.

"If he leaves for the trial, it means that he is leaving the clinic. Generally, when a patient is in the clinic, we never recommend his removal from the clinic. If he can walk, why is he staying in the clinic? His condition is of moderate severity and he continues to receive treatment in the therapeutic department.

In addition, when we were previously asked to recommend his attendance at the hearing, an "army" came here and told us not to dare to make such a recommendation, and that was when he was much better. Therefore, to tell the truth, I do not understand their logic. While the patient is in the clinic, we cannot give such a recommendation," said Nino Nadiradze.
