Singer Gia Gachechiladze's son-in-law confirms confrontation between him and Vano Merabishvili

Singer Gia Gachechiladze's son-in-law, Gigisha Sharashidze, confirmed a confrontation between him and the former Minister of Internal Affairs, Vano Merabishvili. To the journalist's question of whether he touched Merabishvili, Sharashidze replied that he did and noted that he will not avoid responsibility and if necessary, he will answer the questions of the law enforcement agencies about the details.

 

"Confrontation between me and Vano Merabishvili took place on January 2, in one of the pharmacies in Vake. I can't even call it a confrontation, considering that Vano Merabishvili ran away from the very first moments. Due to the fact that there is a great public interest, I considered myself obliged not to hide, not to hide from the investigation and not to evade responsibility. If necessary, I will answer the questions of the law enforcement authorities," said Gigisha Sharashidze.

 

When asked why the confrontation started, Gigisha Sharashidze answered: "I don't think so, but if he has any courage left, he should say it himself."

 

For information, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has started an investigation under Article 126, which pertains to violence, based on the media reports relating to the former Minister of Internal Affairs, Vano Merabishvili.
