According to the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Levan Davitashvili, after the start of the Russia-Ukraine war, more than 200,000 people entered Georgia, of which 60,000 remained, and some of them moved through Georgia to Turkey and Armenia.

Davitashvili stated this in an interview with IPN.

"After the start of the war in Ukraine, more than 200,000 people entered Georgia, although about 60,000 people remained. A very large part of those who entered Georgia mostly moved to Turkey or Armenia. Georgia, in this case, was used as a transit. So, the wave that we remember, and especially in one specific period, when the rate of crossing the border of Georgia increased, of course, has stabilized," said Davitashvili.
