According to Droa leader Elene Khoshtaria, former Georgian Prime Minister Bidzina Ivanishvili's partnership and relationship with Russian oligarch Yevtushenkov is yet another reason for sanctioning him.
At today's briefing, Khoshtaria made public several sections of Yevtushenkov's activities connecting him to Vladimir Putin's military operations.
"I would like to respond to the information provided by Transparency International Georgia regarding Bidzina Ivanishvili's businesses in Russia. This information confirms Russia's influence over Georgia over the years, which Bidzina Ivanishvili has denied, and confirms the lie as if he was out of the Russian market. It also logically explains his political actions over the years and makes us think of a special, grave crime against the backdrop of Russian aggression in Ukraine. This is yet another clear and hard ground for sanctioning him. In addition, I would like to provide additional information about Bidzina Ivanishvili's friend Yevtushenkov. We have heard that this Yevtushenkov is a businessman and we have heard such an assessment from the confused representatives of the Georgian Dream, but I would like to list 4 facts about his "activity": 1. He was involved in absolutely all war crimes during Putin's military operations. This was the case in Syria, Donbas, Crimea, Luhansk and Maidan. He financed, and supplied with military equipment all these military operations. He was a friend of Yanukovych. He gave Yanukovych an apartment, accommodated him, and gave him financial resources to settle in Russia. 2. He is managing one of the world's top 100 military communication companies. 3. He is Shoigu's business partner. Shoigu, through his son, runs a company in which he has invested a billion and a half rubles, and he has also entered the management of this company. 4. Yevtushenkov's company produces drones, which are now specifically used in Ukraine during the war, bombing people. In other words, Yevtushenkov, who is a very close partner of Bidzina Ivanishvili, is a war criminal, a sanctioned participant in Ukraine and not only in military operations, which holds Bidzina Ivanishvili accountable and is another reason for sanctioning him," said Elene Khoshtaria.
