General Charles Brown: We are deeply concerned and we are monitoring Russia's influence in Georgia

21.05.24 15:00

We are deeply concerned and we are monitoring Russia's influence in Georgia, - the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the US Air Force, General Charles Brown, said at the briefing.

Charles Brown answered a question of whether NATO can do anything to help Georgia resist Russia's attempts to increase its influence, how this affects what is happening in Georgia now, and how it affects Georgia's path to NATO.

"We are deeply concerned and we observe Russia's influence in Georgia. We will remain loyal to the sovereignty of Georgia. You know that last week I met with my NATO colleagues, we constantly talk about how we work together on the sovereignty of NATO partner countries, as well as the general security situation in Europe, "said General Charles Brown.
