NATO-Georgia relationship is “a very good one.” NATO values “very much” Georgia as a partner, said NATO Secretary General’s Special Representative for the Caucasus and Central Asia, Javier Colomina following the meetings with Georgian Parliament Speaker Shalva Papuashvili and Defence and Security Committee members on Wednesday.

Colomina said the meeting tackled “all security and defence issues but also political issues that we need to discuss with the authorities.”

The cooperation we have in practical terms is excellent, the tools at your disposal are basically all the tools that NATO have and it is very important to insist on the fact that some of those tools are unique for Georgia. We have decided already in the last years and we are right now in the process of stepping up those tools to provide Georgia with specific instruments that Georgia deserves because of the level of trust that we have between the organization and representatives of Georgia,” Javier Colomina asserted.
NATO official noted that he would meet Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili this evening.
