The parliamentary faction Lelo demands the summoning of the Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili to the Parliament, according to interpellation rule. The mentioned initiative was voiced by Salome Samadashvili at the plenary sitting of the spring session of the Parliament.
According to Salome Samadashvili, the Prime Minister should answer all the questions related to the position of the Government regarding the sanctions regime and yesterday's recording. According to her, the main task for the Western partners is to maintain the sanctions regime and the success of the West is directly linked to the future of both us and Ukraine.
"Yesterday's recordings were not made by the Georgian Dream SSG and supporting special services. I wonder who made this recording and for what purpose it was distributed. Irakli Kobakhidze blames Peter Ackerman for this recording, no Mr. Irakli, Ackerman did not bring this record with a suitcase to the Bakuriani meeting, but it is interesting who distributed it and for what purpose. The main task for our Western partners today is to maintain and enforce the sanctions regime. The task of the West is to damage Russia's military capabilities in such a way that they will never be able to carry out military aggression against either Ukraine or Georgia. None of your words are related to Russia's action plan for our country, and the success of the West is directly related to our future and the future of Ukraine.
As we do not have the opportunity to summon Ivanishvili to the Parliament, we come up with the initiative to summon the Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili to the Parliament of Georgia in the coming days to answer all the questions related to the Government's position on the sanctions regime and yesterday's recordings. This is our request, which will be made official soon and we are waiting for "personal assistant" Gharibashvili," said Salome Samadashvili.
