Margvelashvili's appointment as party chairman was not even discussed. With absurd information, Georgian Dream is trying to cover up the recording between two Russian oligarchs - Ivanishvili and Yevtushenkov - which contains signs of a crime and will be the subject of an international investigation, Levan Bezhashvili, a member of the United National Movement, told reporters.
According to him, this recording will definitely become the basis for sanctioning Bidzina Ivanishvili and Gharibashvili.
"This information is absurd, it has not even been discussed, it has not even been put on agenda. It is just that the Georgian Dream is trying to cover up yesterday's recording between two Russian oligarchs - Ivanishvili and Evtushenkov, which is scandalous, contains signs of a crime and will be the subject of an international investigation," Bezhashvili said.
According to him, the content of this recording is in direct conflict with the international order imposed in the form of sanctions against the Russian Federation.
"Georgian Dream legal structures are also obliged to start an investigation into this. Naturally, we do not expect this investigation to be objective. We call on the international community to conduct an international inquiry into its authenticity, as it contains information that directly exposes the Georgian Dream authorities in military cooperation, at least in offering such cooperation, as well as in offering economic cooperation that contradicts the sanctions imposed. It is absurd for the leaders of the Georgian Dream to claim that they have made statements about trade and economic relations, because international obligations require us not to cooperate with those who are sanctioned. Yevtushenkov is sanctioned by European structures," Bezhashvili said.
