The total volume of deposits in commercial banks is GEL 27,085,816,863

As of November 30, 2019, the total volume of deposits in 15 commercial banks operating in Georgia is GEL 27,085,816,863.

 

According to the Deposit Insurance Agency, the deposits of individuals amounted to GEL 14,879,827,161, including GEL 3,618,405,487 in the national currency and in foreign currency in equivalent to GEL 11,261,421,675. Deposits of legal entities amount to GEL 12,205,989,701, of which the national currency amounts to GEL 6,030,451,623 and the foreign currency equivalent – GEL 6,175,538,078.

 

According to the agency, the amount of deposits insured under the existing deposit insurance system in Georgia is GEL 1,868,170,692, including deposits in the national currency of GEL 1,147,704,774 and foreign currency equivalent of GEL 720,465,918.
