The session of the Committee on Legal Affairs, where the draft law "On transparency of foreign influence" is discussed in the second reading, is taking place against the background of noise.

The noise was caused by the question of the Chairman of the United National Movement, Levan Khabeishvili.

Khabeishvili addressed the leader of the majority, Mamuka Mdinaradze, at which time he asked him whether the purpose of adopting the law was to reject the European Union.

"Mamuka, is the purpose of this bill to reject the European Union?" Are you adopting this law to refuse the European Union? When you talk about the goal and you have concrete goals, it seems that your goal is to refuse the European Union? When we talk about the spirit of the law, your goal from the beginning is when you want to declare the West and Europe as enemies", Levan Khabeishvili addressed to Mamuka Mdinaradze.

After that, Mdinaradze called on the chairman of the committee, Anri Okhanashvili, to react.

"If you are speculating, I will appeal to the chairman to stop you. How do you connect the refusal of the European Union to transparency?" - said Mamuka Mdinaradze.
