Giorgi Vashadze, Chairman of Strategy Builder made a speech at the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly held in Brussels.

One of the leaders of the Victory Platform thanked the European colleagues for their support and the Georgian people for the fight for freedom.

During his speech, Vashadze also thanked the Ukrainian people, because according to him, it was their struggle for freedom that made the European perspective of our countries possible.

"Dear ladies and gentlemen, two strong images of 2023 are still in front of us: a brave Georgian mother waving the European flag, despite the water cannon of the Ivanishvili party. And secondly, streets filled with people and hearty celebrations after being granted candidate status. It is my honor to present to you Georgia, which is the country of the oldest European civilization and culture. It is a special responsibility that I have to speak in front of you in the period before the historic opportunity called Georgia's full membership in the European Union.

Thanks for this chance to our European partners, friends and thanks to my Georgian people who fought a lot for freedom and Europe. Thanks to our friendly Ukrainian people, it was their struggle for freedom that made possible the European perspective of our countries.

For joining the European Union, we were given 9 conditions in the form of democratic reforms, it is not really difficult to fulfill them. My country has very good experience and examples of successful reforms during the rule of Mikheil Saakashvili, who is now unfortunately in unjust captivity. There was a time when Georgia was referred to as the champion country of the region. If there is a proper political will, it is not difficult for Georgia to regain this status, but under the conditions of the current government, it will be very difficult to do so.

There are parliamentary elections in Georgia in October 2024, and on behalf of one of the representatives of the future coalition government, I assure you that if the current government does not fulfill these 9 conditions, we, together with the Georgian people, will fulfill all conditions in exactly 3 months, because Georgia deserves freedom and Europe. Thanks again to you and other European friends for this status and chance, thanks to my people for fighting for freedom! Let the Georgian people change their future for the better in 2024, with a new government and new hope.

Georgia was and is a European country and Georgia will definitely become a member of the European Union! Because Europe has always been at the center of Georgian identity. Being a Georgian means being a European", said Vashadze.
