Georgia reports 3,988 new cases of coronavirus, 49 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 53,255 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 37,264 antigen tests and 15,991 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 3,988 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected to date since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country is 894,801.

 

As of December 13, the daily positive rate is 7.49%, for the last 14 days - 7.64% and for 7 days - 7.15%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 3,722 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 840,985.

 

In the last 24 hours, 49 coronavirus deaths were reported. A total of 12,826 people have died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 3,988 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 1,699 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 239, Imereti - 658, Kvemo Kartli - 215, Shida Kartli - 312, Guria - 158, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 301, Kakheti - 170, Mtskheta- Mtianeti - 131, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 72, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 33.
