Georgia reports 3,454 new cases of coronavirus, 49 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 50,623 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 29,925 antigen tests and 20,698 PCR tests.

 

As a result of the testing, 3,454 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases detected since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 882,822.

 

As of December 9, the daily positive rate is 6.82%, for the last 14 days - 8.06% and for 7 days - 7.74%.

 

In the last 24 hours, 3,334 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 825,442. 49 coronavirus deaths were reported in the last 24 hours. A total of 12,631 people died from the virus since the pandemic spread.

 

Out of 3,454 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 1,575 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 148, Imereti - 543, Kvemo Kartli - 226, Shida Kartli - 280, Guria - 93, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 236, Kakheti - 166, Mtskheta- Mtianeti - 86, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 84, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 17.
