According to Prosecutor Amiran Guluashvili, the prosecution will apply to the Tbilisi City Court today regarding the use of detention measure against Nika Melia, the chairman of the United National Movement.

"According to the resolution of the Parliament of Georgia, the fact has been confirmed once again that the execution of a court decision is obligatory for all people, regardless of their position and political affiliation. Parliamentary immunity does not constitute indulgence to avoid criminal liability. Today, the prosecution will submit a relevant motion to the Tbilisi City Court. Since the issue concerns the application of the measure of restraint, the court should schedule a relevant court hearing as soon as possible, where the arguments of the parties will be heard", - the prosecutor said.
