The port of Anaklia will never be built under this government. Do you want Anaklia Project? Then we should not want this government, the rest are illusions, Roman Gotsiridze, Chairman of the United National Movement faction, said on Wednesday. As he noted, with the suspension of the Anaklia port project, Bidzina Ivanishvili has fulfilled Russia's task and now the only force that can force him to resume the project is the people and the elections.

 

"Ivanishvili has not suspended Anaklia's project in order to build it. The port of Anaklia will never be built under this government. Until the government changes, the great kindness that the port and many other related projects can bring will not be realized. Do you want Anaklia Project? Then we should not want this government, the rest are illusions, no matter what we say and no matter what the arguments do we present. Let's stop making unrealistic plans. Without a change of government, no major Georgian project will be implemented, especially those, which are in Russia's interests. Ivanishvili has fulfilled Russia's task and now the only force that can force him to resume the project is the people and the elections, ” Roman Gotsiridze said.

 

Yesterday, Anaklia Development Consortium issued a statement, where the consortium expressed readiness to attract additional investments in cooperation with the government and to continue the work.
