According to the Prime Minister, Giorgi Gakharia, the government has developed a plan for the period following the easing of restrictions and opening of the economy.
As Gakharia stated at the presentation of the anti-crisis plan, 4 rules have been developed: compliance with the established norm of social distancing; wearing masks in public places; observance of the rules established by the Ministry of Health by legal entities and continuation of remote work in both public and private sectors, maximum restriction of physical contacts. The first three rules are mandatory, while the 4th one is only recommended.
"We already have a plan to ease the restrictions and open up the economy, but we all need to understand that the pandemic has changed our daily lives so that certain restrictions and measures will remain with us for years and without observing these rules, it will be impossible to open the economy.
These rules are very simple and global: social distancing seems to be necessary for a long time in our lives; wearing masks and gloves in public places, observance of basic hygiene rules will also be a part of our daily lives for some time. In addition, the observance of the rules established by the Ministry of Health by legal entities is extremely important. Every entrepreneur, every company should take into account that it will be impossible to resume activities in the long run without adhering to the requirements set by our epidemiologists and doctors. Wherever possible, both in the private and public sectors, remote work mode should be used as much as possible, in order to minimize physical contacts.
These are the basic rules without which we cannot talk about opening up the economy or easing restrictions. This is the basis for taking the next steps,” Gakharia said.
