Instead of the European parliamentarians now talking about the successful reforms of Georgia, how Georgia fulfills the nine points in order to open the negotiations soon and Georgia will soon become a member of the European Union, they have to deal with the huge problems that the "Georgian Dream" creates for the Georgian people - said Zurab Chiaberashvili, secretary of the foreign direction of the UNM.

According to Chiaberashvili, the MEPs were most worried about this when adopting the resolution.

"There are the biggest fans of Georgia in Strasbourg and Brussels as well. When they passed this resolution, the MEPs were most worried about the fact that instead of talking about the success of Georgia, about the successful reforms, how Georgia is fulfilling the nine points in order to open negotiations soon and Georgia will soon become a member of the European Union, they have to deal with the huge problems that "Georgian Dream" is created for the Georgian people. It is really written in the resolution that negotiations on the accession of Georgia to the European Union cannot be opened until this "Russian law" is invoked. This is a huge threat to our country. Also, what is written is that the issue of financing will be reviewed and we must understand that in the conditions of huge corruption, when tens of millions are stolen by Kobakhidze, Gharibashvili, Mdinaradze and others, even in these conditions, this money is important for Georgia, for the Georgian people. The loss of such important funding is a great threat to our country and the citizens of our country. Of course, Mikheil Saakashvili's imprisonment is completely incompatible with a democratic state and European values, and once again and for the umpteenth time, the European Parliament has called for his immediate release.

Sanctioning of Bidzina Ivanishvili is a completely new thing. But everyone knows very well that Bidzina Ivanishvili is the main person who has hijacked the state, parliament and other state institutions. However, we must understand one thing well, this European Parliament adopts a recommendation resolution. The decision is up to the European Commission and the European Council. The European Council is the Council of Heads of State of the Member States. At this level, it is very important not to harm the Georgian people, before concrete steps are taken," said Zurab Chiaberashvili, whose statement was released by the party's press service.
