The exports of cosmetics and skin care products are increasing y-o-y in Georgia.
According to the official statistics, in 2023, 2,783 tons of cosmetics USD 74 million 187 thousand worth were exported from abroad to Georgia. The value of imports increased by 25.1%, while the quantity - by 14.7%, which indicates that cosmetics or makeup and skin care products became more expensive in the international market last year.
Cosmetics Exports By Years:
2019 - USD 36.4 million, 2,423 tons;
2020 - USD 39.6 million, 2 180 tons;
2021 - USD 45.8 million, 2,256 tons;
2022 - USD 59.2 million, 2,426 tons;
2023 - USD 74.1 million, 2,783 tons;
As for the exports, the main exporting market for cosmetics is France.

1. France - $14.6 million, 369 tons;
2. Russia - $6.5 million, 242 tons;
3. Germany - $6.1 million, 233 tons;
4. USA - $6 million, 102 tons;
5. Belgium - $4.5 million, 30 tons;
6. Republic of Korea - $3.9 million, 66 tons;
7. Italy - $3.8 million, 72 tons;
8. Turkey - $3.6 million, 299 tons;
9. United Kingdom - $2.6 million, 127 tons;
10. Israel - $1.9 million, 51 tons.
