Sergey Lavrov to meet the so-called leaders of occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will hold talks with the so-called leaders of occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali in Sochi today.

 

According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, "bilateral and tripartite meetings" are planned with "president of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania, head of the ministry of foreign affairs Inal Ardzinba, leader of South Ossetia Alan Gagloev and head of the ministry of foreign affairs of South Ossetia Akhsar Jioev".

 

According to them, the agenda includes a wide range of relevant issues of "bilateral relations", as well as regional and international issues.

 

"During the bilateral meetings, the ministers will also sign the 2024-2025 consultation plans between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs," the Russian Foreign Ministry said.
