The "Artsakh" separatists, who are living out their last days under the cover of Russian "peacekeepers", pretending to be a self-appointed "government", have finally engaged in their usual business - looting and robbery. But since they can no longer "reach" the Azerbaijani population, they loot and rob "their own", Karabakh Armenians.
By this separatists solve two problems at once - firstly, artificially creating a deficit of various goods and products they scream to the whole world about "famine", "genocide", blockade, show footage of empty shelves of shops, from which all the goods were hidden "in advance". And secondly, by selling these same goods to Karabakh Armenians, which were received absolutely free of charge as humanitarian aid, they earn a lot of money in the end.
The fact that the leadership of the "Artsakh" separatists led by the self-appointed "president" Araik Harutyunyan, "Secretary of the Security Council" Vitaly Balasanyan and Russian oligarch of Armenian origin Ruben Vardanyan sent to Karabakh are profiting from ordinary Karabakh Armenians was recently told by Armenian blogger Roman Baghdasaryan in his video clip:
Regarding the "cigarette shortage" in Karabakh, Roman Baghdasaryan said the following:
"A week ago Vitaly Balasanyan was arrested and then released back. I know for sure that almost 50 thousand packets of cigarettes were found in Vitaly Balasanyan's possession. Cigarettes that Vitaly Balasanyan sold for 900 drams. It's all free, this humanitarian aid. Take out the cigarettes and give them back, why are you causing problems for Araik? You have plenty of cigarettes, take them out, give them to people."
Regarding the so-called "famine" artificially created by separatist leaders in Karabakh:
"All the villages of Karabakh are full of foodstuffs. There is no such word as 'famine'. The famine is artificial, because Araik Harutyunyan and Ruben Vardanyan, two scoundrels, should have used the billions they received from Armenia to buy enough petrol to bring these products from the villages to Stepanakert (Khankendi). Are you saying, Araik, that there are no fresh potatoes in Karabakh now? Do you want to say that there is no grain?...Do you want to say that there is no doshab, the whole Karabakh was collected mulberry doshab by cans, cylinders? And famine? Who are you deceiving?".
The separatist leaders simply embezzled the money that the Armenian diaspora allocated to them for fuel, and as a result the harvested crops in the Armenian villages of Karabakh simply cannot be brought to Khankendi. Separatists behave like absolutely unprincipled robbers and looters, realising that their power over the same Karabakh Armenians is coming to an end. And lastly, they are trying to get the last of the money from the people they have deceived so that they can use it to organise a comfortable life for themselves in another territory after they have to leave Karabakh.
Armenian nationalists have already started to come to terms with the loss of Karabakh, as evidenced by the statement of Sergey Lavrov-Kalantarov, an ardent Armenian nationalist, who is the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry. During the recent trilateral talks of the foreign ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia in Moscow, the rhetoric of Sergey Lavrov-Kalantarov testified to one thing - he has finally come to terms with the fact that Karabakh is Azerbaijan. Thus, on the eve of the trilateral meeting, a bilateral meeting between the Russian and Azerbaijani Foreign Ministers Sergey Lavrov and Jeyhun Bayramov took place. At this meeting, the Russian Foreign Minister said the following: "We appreciate that our Azerbaijani friends understand the need to ensure the rights and security of the Armenian population of Karabakh.".
Lavrov-Kalantarov has no doubt that the Armenian population of Karabakh will come under the full jurisdiction of Azerbaijan. Moreover, Lavrov stated that Armenians will have to accept that they will be an ordinary national minority within Azerbaijan: "The Armenian side has an understanding of the need to convince the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh to meet with Azerbaijani representatives as soon as possible to agree on the rights arising from the relevant legislation and international obligations (in this case Azerbaijan), including numerous conventions on ensuring the rights of national minorities," said Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov summarising the results of the meeting with Azerbaijani representatives. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov made a statement summarising the results of the meeting.
"The Azerbaijani side is ready to provide the same guarantees on a reciprocal basis with regard to persons living on its territory. The Armenians are ready to do the same with regard to the application of all conventions to citizens residing in the Republic of Armenia," Lavrov-Kalantarov said in a statement posted on the Russian Foreign Ministry's website. And this is already interesting. Here for the first time it is actually noted that the return of Azerbaijani refugees expelled from the territory of the Armenian SSR will take place. Sergey Lavrov-Kalantarov diplomatically noted the possibilities of unblocking the Zangezur corridor: "The closest result at this stage seems to be reaching an agreement in a trilateral working group headed by three deputy prime ministers, who are engaged in coordinating specific issues of unblocking transport communications in the region. In this context, the prospects for the implementation of promising projects in the transport sector, which already have not only a regional but also a broader character, will also open up," the Russian Foreign Minister said.
The Artsakh separatist project is coming to an end. Although this gives hope for the complete elimination of the other two separatist projects - the Sukhumi and Tskhinvali projects. But there are still obstacles to complete peace in the South Caucasus region and de-occupation of all occupied territories.
As Kavkaz Plus has repeatedly written, in terms of the "value" of foreign lands and economic attractiveness for Armenian nationalists, Georgian Abkhazia stands immeasurably above Azerbaijani Karabakh. And if even with the loss of Karabakh and liquidation of the "Artsakh" separatist project Armenian nationalists will come to terms with it, they will "hold on to Abkhazia to the last Abkhazian".
Today leaders of "Artsakh" separatists are robbing their own Karabakh Armenians, clearly expecting to use this money to build "apartments" in occupied Georgian Abkhazia and move there. Although, in fact, in accordance with justice they should find themselves in other "apartments" - in Azerbaijani prison under a court sentence for their crimes against civilians of Karabakh.
