Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, states that the liberation of the territories of Georgia and Moldova from the Russian army is not Ukraine's business.
"Georgians should do this, Moldovans should do this, if they believe that this territory directly belongs to them," Danilov said in an interview with the Ukrainian service of "Radio Liberty".
He believes that the countries where the Russian Federation has influence cannot develop.
"An example of this is Moldova, which has been occupied by the Russian Federation for a long time. We do not see that this territory will have any development prospects until it is freed from the Russian occupation. The example of Georgia. In 2008, when they occupied a part of Georgia - the situation is the same. The territory is absolutely destroyed, it is not developing and there will be no development prospects," said Danilov.
At the same time, he called "strange" the statement of the President of Georgia, Salome Zurabishvili, that in the future peace agreement relating to the end of Russia's war against Ukraine should include a clause on the withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Georgia.
“Then you will have to say that this is not your territory, you will have to say it publicly, you will have to tell this to the whole world. This Byzantine style should have no place in modern politics," said Danilov.
