Rally in solidarity with Ukraine to be held in Tbilisi today

In connection with the anniversary of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Ukrainian solidarity rally - "This is Georgia - Glory to the Heroes" will be held in Tbilisi.

 

The rally will start on Rustaveli Avenue at 19:00.

 

"We, the citizens of Georgia, political parties, civil society, representatives of various professions, Ukrainians living here will unite and hold a rally in front of the Parliament.

 

February 24 is the day Putin's Russia launched a brutal war of aggression in Ukraine. This war continues to this day and will definitely end with the victory of Georgian heroes fighting alongside Ukraine and Ukrainians. The Georgian people understand well the price of fighting this evil, the price of freedom, the price of dignity, the price of victory over the enemy. That's why the Georgian people, from the moment the war started, have been in solidarity with the heroic Ukrainian people, with Ukraine. On February 24, the day of the start of a full-scale war in Ukraine, we will unite and once again express our strong support for the heroes fighting for freedom and peace. Let's unite, stand together for our heroes, honor, freedom, Ukraine, Georgia! On February 24, let's show where Georgia is and what Georgia is!" reads the statement released by the organizers.
