The Ministry of Internal Affairs arrested 45 people for drug-related crimes as a result of operational measures and investigative actions conducted throughout the country. Various types of drugs in especially large quantities have been seized, Teimuraz Kupatadze, director of the Central Criminal Police Department, said at the briefing.
“The employees of the Central Criminal Police Department, Tbilisi Police Department, Patrol Police Department, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti Police Department, Shida Kartli Police Department, Kvemo Kartli Police Department, Adjara Police Department and Guria Police Department, as a result of complex operational measures and investigative actions, detained 45 people for drug crimes including 23 drug dealers.
The following persons are arrested for illegal purchase, storage and selling of drugs in large and especially large quantities, plotting the drug sale, the attempted sale and illegal importation of narcotic into the country:

Dz (DoB 1982), G.Kh (DoB 1972). M.Sh. (DoB1966) I.J (DoB 1994), B.T. (DoB 1966), N.V. (DoB 1963), B.B. (DoB 2001), T.Kh. (DoB 1993).
Citizens of foreign countries are also arrested for drug-related crimes:

On the basis of the judge's decision, the law enforcement officers made control purchases of drugs from persons arrested for the illegal selling of drugs several times and made secret audio-video recording of the mentioned process.
As a result of the searches of the places indicated by the detainees, as well as their personal cars, houses and apartments, a large and especially large amount of narcotic drugs prepared for sale were seized, in particular: "Heroin", "Cocaine", "Alpha PVP", "Buprenorphine", " Suboxin", "Ecstasy", "LSD", "Methadone", "Ketamine", "Mephedrone", "Methamphetamine", "MDMA", "Amphetamine", the so-called Bio, "Marijuana", "Tramadol" and others.
The crimes committed by the defendants envision up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
The investigation is being conducted under articles 260, 18-260, 19-260 and 262, 273 (1) and 19-273 (1) articles of the Criminal Code of Georgia”, said Teimuraz Kupatadze.
