Nika Melia: If the court makes a decision in favor of Mikheil Saakashvili, but it is delayed, it can also be fatal

According to Nika Melia, chairman of the National Movement party, there is an intention to artificially prolong the trial of Mikheil Saakashvili.

As Nika Melia told journalists, even a positive decision of the court will be fatal for Saakashvili if it is delayed.

"The attitude of Georgian Dream towards Mikheil Saakashvili and human life in general is known. All citizens who consider themselves objective believed in the reality in which, unfortunately, Mikheil Saakashvili found himself. Now it is very important that this trial be completed as soon as possible. An intentions to artificially prolong the process in time can be seen. If the court makes a decision in favor of Mikheil Saakashvili, but it is delayed, it can also be fatal. Technically, it is possible to finish the process by the end of the year," said Nika Melia.

In addition, as the leader of the National Movement notes, if the processes drag on extremely, the party will make specific decisions.

"If we are convinced that the processes are being deliberately dragged on, we will have to make a concrete decision," said Nika Melia.

In addition, as Nika Melia noted, the President of Ukraine Zelensky emphasized Mikheil Saakashvili's health condition and the related dangers.

"We have to see what decision the government will make. I mean not the judicial power, but the political one. No matter that the representatives of Georgian Dream say that the words of the members of the international community, including President Zelensky, are worth nothing, the reality is completely different. Over the past year, I cannot recall an appeal by President Zelensky with specific demands that was not fulfilled. He did not say this by chance, on the contrary, he emphasized the danger of Mikheil Saakashvili's health condition. President Zelensky is not a person who, if we borrow from Kobakhidze, "turns his words worthless", said Nika Melia.
