Ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili urges the opposition not to renounce their MP mandates before voting for the constitutional amendments, said Eka Kherkheulidze, a member of the United National Movement (UNM) party.

Eka Kherkheulidze visited Georgia’s third president at the N12 Rustavi prison.

She said the ex-president feels weak but refuses to stop the hunger strike.

On November 1, ex-president Mikheil Saakashvili recommended his supporters follow the example of Lelo party leader Mamuka Khazaradze and quit parliament.
