02.11.21 14:30

Chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party Irakli Kobakhidze believes it’s time for politicians, those thinking in the state interests, to alter their agenda as the municipal elections complete.

Kobakhidze urged the politicians to engage in the debates stressing that the Parliament is the only place to debate.

“Those who think in the interests of the state will take into account our call.

We need proper discussions to develop the country that needs progress together. For this, the Parliament has a defining role. Therefore, we call on everyone to engage in the parliamentary debates,” Kobakhidze said.

GD Chair clarified that the Parliament would accept the resignation appeals of the opposition United National Movement (UNM) party lawmakers.

Following Lelo leader Mamuka Khazaradze, Girchi-More Freedom leader Zurab Japaridze and United National Movement member Ana Tsitlidze renounced their MP mandates on November 1.
