Khatuna Samnidze: We do not think that the solution is to step aside and be in a boycott mode, nor do we think that leaving the mandates is the right political decision

We do not think that the solution is to step aside and be in a boycott mode, nor do we think that leaving the mandates is the right political decision, - said Khatuna Samnidze, chairwoman of the Reform Group.

Samnidze emphasized that this is what creates a comfortable environment for the Georgian Dream.

In this context, Samnidze also said that everything is being done by the opposition parties to hold early parliamentary elections and that it is very important to have a fully proportional electoral system with a low threshold.

"The draft constitutional amendments were adopted in the first reading in the parliament, according to which we will have a fully proportional system in any election, which means that if we get early elections by 2024, it will be held in a fully proportional system. If we do not get these changes and the pretext becomes the opposition parties, the mixed system will remain at 120/30, thus the "Georgian Dream" is guaranteed to remain in power. To avoid this, we must be mobilized today to adopt constitutional changes", - Khatuna Samnidze said.
