The draft law will be presented on Monday, we are going through all the details, and among them, the public will learn what kind of regulations will be proposed, - said the chairman of the parliament, Shalva Papuashvili, regarding the draft law against LGBT propaganda.

As Papuashvili explains, the process will be open for discussion and public involvement.

"The time has passed, which we offered to the opposition and everyone, including the non-governmental sector, in order to determine their position, whether this kind of propaganda is acceptable to them, and if it is not acceptable, what is their opinion, what regulations can be such that, on the one hand, at least Everything should be protected and, on the other hand, propaganda should not be allowed. At best, we have seen silence from the opponents, which means supporting propaganda, and this will be recorded in their political history. As for the bill, on Monday the bill will be presented, we will go through all the details, and among them, the public will know what kind of regulations will be proposed, after that the process will be open for discussion, for public involvement, because when we talk about the dangers of this propaganda, we are talking about the dangers that the public is facing threats that have already been fulfilled in other countries. I quote again, the British Prime Minister had to make a certain statement himself - even today, in Georgia it is considered banal to say that a woman is a woman and a man is a man, but we see that in Britain it is no longer a common banality and the Prime Minister's statements are needed for this. Our experience shows that what happens in Britain, the USA, or elsewhere, in a short time, sometimes spills over into Georgia, including with the support of foreign funding, so we have to form a position from here, what does the Georgian society want, does it want to allow this type of propaganda. If this type of propaganda is avoided", Papuashvili said.
