Ekaterine Dgebuadze: School reopening depends on epidemiological situation, however, Ministry of Education is ready to resume schooling on September 15

“Reopening of schools depends on the epidemiological situation, however, the Ministry of Education is ready to resume schooling on September 15,” Deputy Minister of Education, Ekaterine Dgebuadze said in a program “Actual Topic with Maka Tsintsadze” on Georgian First Channel.

“We continue preparing for the start of the school year on September 15. Of course, we have a very active, daily cooperation with the Ministry of Health and we share information with each other.

Reopening of schools depends on the epidemiological situation. If the situation worsens, we will take into account the recommendations issued by the Ministry of Health,” stressed Ekaterine Dgebuadze.

Georgia has reported 87 new cases of novel coronavirus (COVID-19) today, bringing the total number of infected people to 1 917, according to stopcov.ge.
