Government spent up to 623 million GEL in 6 months to repay its foreign debt

According to the 6-month review of the current year's state budget execution, in the first six months of 2020, the government spent up to 623 million GEL to repay its foreign debt.

 

According to the document, 622,817.0 thousand GEL was spent from the state budget for the service and repayment of the government's foreign liabilities, of which 454,327.1 thousand GEL is the principal amount and 168,490.0 thousand GEL is the interest amount.

 

As of June 30, 2020, the government's external debt balance is GEL 18,010.1 million.
