20.05.20 18:30

Unfortunately, this is yet another victim of the inhuman and illegal restrictions faced by the isolated population in Tskhinvali, - Ketevan Tsikhelashvili, State Minister for Civil Equality and Reconciliation, said when commenting on the death of a 63-year-old man in the occupied district of Akhalgori.

As Tsikhelashvili pointed out, the problem faced by the people of Akhalgori is categorically unacceptable.

"It is very unfortunate and, first of all, I express my condolences to the family members of Jumber Miladze, a 63-year-old man from Akhalgori, who was transported from the occupied territories through the Red Cross yesterday and died before being taken to the hospital. Now an examination is underway, but as far as I know, the man had a stroke, a few days ago he was taken from Akhalgori Hospital to Tskhinvali, which, as you know, is associated with quite difficult serpentine in the high mountains, which causes complications in similar patients. His family had been trying to take him to the Georgia-controlled territory for several days, but his transportation was delayed and the health condition of the patient deteriorated.

Unfortunately, this is yet another victim of the inhuman and illegal restrictions faced by the isolated population in Tskhinvali”, the State Minister said.
