According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of the operative-investigative activities police arrested, brothers A.T., born in 1993, and G.T., born in 1997 on charges of car theft.
Investigation revealed that the defendants stole automotive batteries from cars in Nadzaladevi district, Vasil Tamarashvili, and Gulripshi streets in Tbilisi and fled the scene.
Law enforcers detained the defendants a few days after the incident.
The detainees confessed to the theft of two more cars in Nadzaladevi district.
Law enforcers seized stolen automotive batteries as evidence.
The investigation is in progress under article 177, part 3, subsection (d) of the Criminal Code of Georgia on theft committed against the vehicle.
The crime envisages from 4 to 7 years of imprisonment.
