Anti-gambling rally held in Tbilisi

03.02.20 10:00

The anti-gambling rally was held outside the Administration of the Government.

Led by the family members and friends of deceased Sandro Beradze who worked for Georgian First Channel as a cameraman, the protesters are calling for regulations to be introduced to provide more protection against gambling.

“We ask the government to take effective steps. The World Health Organization has recognized ludomania as a disease. We should not reject but help gambling addicted people.

There is no regulation. Public transport is covered with various gambling ads,” said Sandro Beradze’s brother, Giorgi Beradze.
