Govt announces its plan to sell building inside Rike Park

The government of Georgia plans to sell the building inside Rike Park in Tbilisi, Natia Turnava, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, said on Thursday.

 

According to the Minister, the initial price of the building is GEL 95 million.

 

“We are going auction so-called “Rike jugs” within the project – “100 Investment Offers to Business”. As you know, a considerable amount of money was spent on the construction of this project. Unfortunately, up to now, the project was failed to find its function, although this building has a very interesting location and this place is visited by many visitors. The valuation that has been made is GEL 95 million, “Natia Turnava said adding that the value of the facility was evaluated by Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau.

 

“Through this transparent auction, we will be able to test how relevant this price is to current market requirements. Our task is to find the right use of the Rike jugs through an open public auction, "Turnava said.

 

According to her, emphasis will be placed on the commercial and appropriate use of the building.
