Another Spar supermarket employee wounded by customer

The Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs has detained one individual for the attempted premeditated murder of a Spar supermarket employee in Tbilisi, on January 27.

 

The Ministry of Internal Affairs says that the detainee only identified as L.S., born in 1985, wounded Spar, employee B.K. and managed to escape. L.S. and B.K. had a conflict two days before the incident.

 

The detainee has a criminal record and had been given a conditional discharge.

 

Police seized a folding knife, pneumatic pistol and hunting rifle as a result of a search of the detainee.

 

The crime is punishable from seven to 15 years of imprisonment.

 

This is not the first case of an attack on a Spar supermarket employee. A confrontation between the employee and customer took place in December 2019, on M. Kostava Street of Tbilisi. 

 

The injured employee died in hospital from a head injury on January 21.
