During the meeting with the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, we talked about the relations between our countries, especially the prospects for the development of the Middle Corridor, - said the Chairman of the Parliament of Georgia, Shalva Papuashvili, after the meeting with the President of Turkmenistan.

 

According to him, they also discussed cultural cooperation at the meeting with the President of Turkmenistan.

 

"We also talked about the importance of appointing a direct flight between the countries, in order to encourage relations between states and peoples, to develop tourism. We also talked about the cultural cooperation that exists between our countries. I thanked the President of Turkmenistan for the decision to erect a monument to Shota Rustaveli in Ashkhabad. This, of course, is a gesture of great respect towards Georgian culture and history", said Shalva Papuashvili.
