Georgian society will never give up either freedom or independence, - the leader of the parliamentary majority, Mamuka Mdinaradze, told journalists on April 9.

According to his assessment, April 9 is an example that the Georgian society will not give up freedom and independence under any circumstances.

"This is a day that is simultaneously associated with, on the one hand, the great pain that followed the death of people who fought for freedom and independence, and on the other hand, 2 years later, under the leadership of Zviad Gamsakhurdia, the symbolism that will follow this date for centuries has brought great joy . At the same time, it is a day of heroism and an example that our children should grow up with. Independence, freedom, this is the main value for which Georgians fought for centuries. Independence and freedom are our genetic code. Georgian society will never give up either freedom or independence," said Mdinaradze.
