NATO naval exercises start in Romania with participation of Georgia

NATO naval exercises have started in Romania, in which Georgia also participates, Romanian media reports.

 

NATO naval exercises called Sea Shield 24 started today in Romania and 12 NATO member and partner states along with Georgia are participating in it.

 

"Sea Shield 24 is the most challenging event to be hosted by the Romanian Navy in 2024," notes the Romanian Navy.

 

More than 2,200 military personnel are participating in the naval exercise, which is being held on the Black Sea and the Danube River, and is aimed at increasing interoperability and strengthening defense on the eastern flank.

 

NATO naval exercises in Romania will continue until April 21.
