08.04.24 10:09

As an alternative to the draft law "On transparency of foreign influence", the draft law "On protection from the influence of the occupying country - the Russian Federation" will also be submitted of the Bureau of the Parliament today.

The alternative law provides for criminal prosecution against all those organizations or people who represent the power of the occupying country and try to change the goals of the foreign policy defined by the Constitution of Georgia in the interests of Russia or openly/covertly interfere in the country's domestic policy.

The law applies not only to Russia, but to all those states that do not recognize the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our country.

The initiators of the alternative law "On protection from the influence of the occupying country - the Russian Federation" are the opposition MPs, namely "Gakharia - for Georgia" MPs, Beka Liluashvili, Ana Buchukuri, Mikheil Daushvili, Shalva Kereselidze and independent MP Teona Akubardia.
