We are deeply concerned that the draft law introduced in the Parliament of Georgia will divert Georgia from the European path, - Matthew Miller, the spokesperson of the United States State Department, wrote on social network X (Twitter), thus responding to the initiation of the draft law on "organizations acting in the interests of a foreign power" in the Parliament of Georgia.

The State Department calls on the Georgian government to follow the aspirations of the European Union.

"We are deeply concerned that the bill submitted to the Parliament of Georgia will divert Georgia from the European path and will harm civil society organizations that improve the lives of Georgian citizens. We call on the Georgian government to follow the aspirations of the European Union", said Matthew Miller.
