It seems that the time has come for these judges to respond with thanks and gratitude to the part of the NGO sector and their owner, both the political party, the collective National Movement and the relevant forces behind the National Movement - it is embarrassing when the judges talk that they want to check their integrity, - the member of the parliamentary majority, Davit Matikashvili, told journalists while responding to the two judges of the Supreme Court, who he do not agree with the statement of the Supreme Court regarding the vetting system.
According to Matikashvili, it is obvious from the position of the mentioned judges that they doubt their own integrity.
"It seems that the time has come for these judges to respond with thanks and gratitude to the part of the NGO sector and their owner, both the political party, the collective National Movement and the relevant forces behind the National Movement - it is embarrassing when the judges talk that they want to check their integrity.
It's very embarrassing when judges say they want integrity checks. It is obvious that they doubt their own integrity, and not without reason, if we look at the content of the decisions they make.
In many cases, people accused of serious crimes were released from prison by these judges - rapists and other serious criminals. Also, there were loyal and soft steps taken specifically towards the members of the National Movement by these judges, including in terms of releasing them from prison.
It is good that they are talking about the clan, because the very obvious and real format and face of the clan are these judges. This clan has been established and systematized by a specific part of the NGO sector in Georgia for years, and they are supported by specific forces in the form of the National Movement and their patrons, who do not need a healthy, independent or transparent judicial system in Georgia. They need a judicial system, as it once was - in 2003-2005, then Zurab Adeishvili established this system as a part of the prosecutor's office in Georgia. They want to do the same thing today, which obviously no one in the sovereign Georgian state will be allowed to do," said Davit Matikashvili.
