Gia Volski: "Transparency International" has embarrassed itself so much that I don't think it can make loud statements

"Transparency International" has embarrassed itself so much that I don't think it can make loud statements, - the deputy of the parliamentary majority, the vice-speaker of the parliament, Gia Volski, said about this, responding to the statement issued by "Transparency International-Georgia".

According to Volski, this announcement is intended to "somehow take control of the levers and implement the cherished plan that they had until now.""International transparency has embarrassed itself so much that I don't think it can make loud statements. Moreover, today it is the most opaque organization in the world, at least in the space of developed countries. It needs the position of a prosecutor, a judge or the chairman of the CEC just to implement its favorite sabotage plan and strategy...How can such a standard be introduced in a country that generally does not exist in Europe? - It is impossible to introduce such a standard. Is there something else behind these statements? - Taking steps to somehow take control levers in their hands and implement the cherished plan that they had until now", Gia Volski said.

At the same time, Gia Volski responded to the statement of the Speaker of the Parliament, Shalva Papuashvili regarding the NGO sector, noting that they not only attack justice, but non-governmental organizations showed themselves by participating in rallies with radical demands and making loud statements about the dismissal of the Georgian government, the election of a technical government and the start of the war."Not only justice is being attacked, non-governmental organizations showed themselves by participating in rallies with radical demands and making loud statements about the removal of the Georgian government, the election of a technical government, the start of the war, the shame that fell on Georgia, the church, and Georgian traditions due to the failure to open a second front. If you put all this together, this is a characteristic of the non-governmental organizations that Shalva Papuashvili is talking about. It's not just about the judicial system. Here we are talking about the union of specific non-governmental organizations, which stand on the platform of a specific political party", - noted Gia Volski.

For information, today "Transparency International-Georgia" issued a statement, according to which they note that "recently the rhetoric of the highest officials indicates that the Georgian government is not going to implement the critically important recommendations of the European Commission".

According to their reports, non-fulfilment of the requirements may delay the process of Georgia's integration into the European Union and ultimately pose a significant threat to the prospect of accession.
