The Georgian Innovation and Technology Agency on Tuesday said the Web Summit technology conference, running this week in Lisbon, was featuring Georgian companies with the support of the Agency and Enterprise Georgia, the state agency promoting entrepreneurship, investment and exports.

Georgian IT companies including LineAte, Making Science Sweeft, DevExperts, Leavingstone and Redberry, along with startups like Agronnect, Artisio, QuickShipper, OMOFOX, Datamind and Kernel are showcased at the Summit hosted between Monday and Thursday.

Enterprise Georgia said five “prominent” local tech companies were featured at the Georgian stand, demonstrating “commitment to showcasing [...] technological excellence” on the global stage, while startups hosted B2B meetings and delivered presentations to potential investors and target stakeholders.

At the event, Georgian Economy Minister Levan Davitashvili also participated in a panel discussion under the title Innovate or Regulate? When Tech Meets Government.

More than 70,000 attendees from 160 countries, along with 800 speakers and 2,600 startups are participating in this year’s edition.

Georgian startupper Ana Robakidze, the founder and CEO of the AI platform Theneo, won a pitch contest at last year’s Summit in Lisbon.
