GeoStat: FDI in Georgia totalled USD 2 097.9 million in 2022

Foreign Direct Investments (FDI) in Georgia amounted to USD 2 097.9 million in 2022 (adjusted data) up by 1.7 percent from the data of 2021, the National Statistics Office of Georgia (GeoStat) reported.

 

The largest investors were the UK, Spain, the Netherlands, the U.S., Ireland, Russia, Czechya, Japan, Turkey, and China.

 

In 2022, most direct investments were attracted to finance and insurance activities in the amount of USD 538 million which makes 25.6% of total investments, the second place goes to the real estate sector (17.5%), and the third to water supply and waste management (9.4%).
