Sakpatenti Chair meets WIPO Dir/Gen

During the 64th session of the General Assembly of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), Soso Giorgadze, the Chair of the Georgian Intellectual Property Centre (Sakpatenti), held a meeting with WIPO Director General Daren Tang.

 

The meeting highlighted the importance of intellectual property in addressing the challenges of the modern world. Both parties emphasized the need for increased knowledge and comprehensive awareness campaigns to promote intellectual property.

 

Giorgadze expressed gratitude to Tang for their close and active cooperation, while Tang welcomed the collaboration between Sakpatenti and WIPO. He acknowledged the joint efforts and commitment to developing and improving Georgia’s intellectual property system.

 

Sides agreed WIPO would continue to support Sakpatenti and facilitate the advancement of intellectual property as a strategically important area for the country.
