Today I met the Catholicos-Patriarch, His Holiness and Beatitude Ilia II, the head of the Government of Georgia writes on Facebook.
Irakli Gharibashvili notes that he introduced the initial version of the project of the Georgian Cultural Center on the Jordan River to the Patriarch and discussed the project with His Holiness.
"I presented and introduced the initial version of the project of the Georgian Cultural Center on the Jordan River to our Patriarch. His Holiness shared his thoughts with me and we discussed the project together. Work on the construction project of the Georgian haven near the place of baptism of the Savior, near the Jordan River, is actively underway. Soon we will start the relevant procedures for the project agreement, and later, after receiving the construction permit, we will start the construction," the Prime Minister wrote.
