GYLA releases a statement regarding possible violations of the legal regime of the occupied territories.

GYLA responds to the information spread through the media, according to which persons who may have violated the Georgian law "On Occupied Territories" crossed the state border of Georgia.

The organization calls on the Georgian authorities not to legitimize the border checkpoints established by unrecognized regimes in the occupied territories through the inaction on possible violations of the Law of Georgia "On Occupied Territories", to take effective measures to identify persons who violate the requirements established by the law, and to apply the mechanisms provided by the Criminal Code against the mentioned persons.
