Things unfolded faster than we imagined - the US Embassy actually publicly admitted that it has been in coordination with anti-state processes, Guram Macharashvili, former Georgian Dream deputy and representative of the "People's Power" movement, told journalists.

According to him, "the US Embassy has formally maintained the role of a neutral arbiter and acted as such, but now it has become a party with its statements, where it is against the interests of the public."

"The Embassy openly and publicly expressed its support for those organizations that called on the public from the stage to illegally change the government of Georgia. Things unfolded faster than we imagined. We knew that the Embassy would not be able to counter the arguments that we were making, but we did not think that the Embassy would admit that it was itself conducting and coordinating processes that were anti-state by the non-governmental sector, which also publicly called on the public to take anti-state actions. When the Embassy says that an organization whose falsified results is reliable, when the Embassy speaks with the rhetoric that the radical opposition speaks with - for example, it calls June 20 "Gavrilov's night" and at the same time does not mention the anti-state process, which is called the storming of the legislative body; When it makes such accusations as "carousel" and which was not mentioned by any international monitoring mission - this is the basis when we say that the Embassy actually publicly admitted that it has been in coordination with anti-state processes. When the Embassy supports the non-governmental sector, which is in favor of Georgia entering into a military conflict, we naturally say that the mission of "People's Power" to let the public know the truth is successfully fulfilled," said Guram Macharashvili.
